Congratulations to V Prashant (Std. XII, PS Senior) for getting selected into Orientation Cum Selection Camp (OCSC) for International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) and OCSC for International Astronomy Olympiad (IAO) + International Olympiad for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) . This student of SMART is the only one to get selected from TamilNadu for the year 2009 towards OCSC-IPhO.
Congratulations to A.Barath (Std. XII, PSBB Nungambakkam), a student of SMART from his ninth standard, in getting selected for International Maths Olympiad Training Camp (IMOTC) and Orientation cum Selection Camp (OCSC) for Internationa l Chemistry Olympiad (IChO). Congratulations also to Siddharth (Std.XII, PS Senior), a student of Dr.DP Shankaran, for getting selected into OCSC for IChO. These are the two students who got selected from TamilNadu for OCSC-IChO this year (2009). It is quite remarkable that for the year 2008, two students [R Rakesh of PS Senior and CA Jothishwaran of DAV Gopalapuram] got selected for OCSC-IChO from Chennai and both were students of SMART under the tutelage of Dr.DP Shankaran.
These Camps will be held during May 2009, at Mumbai organized by Homi Bhaba Centre for Science Education (HBCSE) of Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR).
