Note : We all are very happy to know the achievements of all of our friends who have performed well in IIT-JEE irrespective of the coaching classes or school they have been to. As far as our friends at SMART are concerned, the highlight of this year is mainly the achievements of V Prashant (AIR 5), AV Gunaa (AIR 16) and Akshay Rangamani (AIR 89). They have made all of us proud.

We all know how much they owe their success to especially KK Anand Sir, and in what high esteem they hold KK Sir. Some institute may claim a lot about their contribution to especially V Prashant's achievements and can advertise well in media, while SMART hasn't advertised at all. But, in all of the personal interviews given by V Prashant to various media, he has made it amply clear that the major contributing factor for his success is only the teaching and guidance of KK Anand Sir, and that it has only made the big difference to his preparations. We all know what role and in what seriousness or regularity with which he took the Sunday classes of one institute. He had to attend Chemistry classes there as he couldn't attend DPS Sir's classes for Organic Chemistry since he joined quite late at SMART. Anyway, we all thought that atleast in this Website, it is made quite clear.

Number of students who studied at SMART are very few compared to other institutes or classes at Chennai, which have multiple centers and batches, where many hundreds of students including many of the brightest in the city studied and appeared for IIT-JEE 2009. Inspite of this very big constraint, SMART has emerged as the institute producing the best results in all the competitive exams viz. IIT-JEE, BITSAT and AIEEE, and even in Physics, Chemistry and Maths Olympiads as well.
