First of all, I convey my sincere thanks to the alumni of SMART for bringing out this Website. The enthusiasm and sincerity with which they have worked is very much evident. The love and respect they have, is reflected throughout this Website. Students have the freedom to share their genuine feelings and I can't restrain that. But care must be taken to ensure that it is actually done in the right spirit and that, the content is factual and not one's fantasy. It needs quite a bit of maturity to convey even a truth, in a manner, which is dignified. The Alumni seniors have done a good job in this regard.

Personally, I don't mind even if there are institutes at Chennai doing better than SMART, as it is anyway beneficial for the city students at large. So, I am not much interested in that aspect, though students and parents may show avid interest in this regard, which is anyway their own personal rights in getting to know whatever is best suited for them. But, what I am concerned with is mainly the quality of training imparted at SMART. I can assure one and all that, I will strive to the best of my capabilities to give top-notch training in accordance with the objectives preset. This is what is in my hands, and wherever it takes to place SMART in the map of Chennai Or India, is in the eyes of others who are concerned with relative evaluation etc. I have always listened with open ears to the constructive suggestions from students and parents, and I feel that there is more scope for improvement at any stage.
I sincerely feel that it is because of God's grace, and the blessings of my Gurus and elders that SMART has become successful in a very short span catering to the needs of talented students, to their satisfaction. All of my family members viz. my parents Sri K.G.Krishnan (KGK) and Smt K.Padma, my brother Sri K.K.Raghunathan and sister-in-law Smt Nandini, and my wife Smt Harini, have contributed a lot for the development of SMART. Special mention must be made about my father, who has put in enormous efforts in the administration etc aspects of SMART, followed by my wife who has spent many hours helping me in various activities related to SMART. Many thanks to all the students, parents and well-wishers who have on their own volition suggested SMART for IIT-JEE and Maths Olympiad training, to their friends and relatives, since that's the only way students have mainly come to know about SMART so far.
My acquaintance with Prof. D.P. Shankaran has been a big step forward in IIT-JEE training for the students of SMART. He is a very senior professor with loads of experience and well acclaimed by students as the best teacher of Organic Chemistry for IIT-JEE training in Chennai. I profusely thank him for kindly accepting to teach the students of SMART. He has always been my well-wisher from the time we have met, and certainly a source of strength for myself and the students of SMART.
I am thankful to Mrs. Bhagyalakshmi and my students G.Vignesh, S.Prasad, C.A. Jothishwaran, Rohit Kannan and R.Rakesh of 2006-08 batch for their contribution towards various courses in SMART. I am also thankful to all the students who helped SMART in a way or other. Last but not the least, many thanks to my students M.Ravindhiran and Vinodh Kumar, who were mainly instrumental in myself starting IIT-JEE training in 2004, when I was thinking only about the foundation course.
Teaching and guiding students at various levels has given a new meaning to my life. I am actually thankful to all the students of SMART, as they have given me an opportunity to share knowledge. What SMART provides may be comprehensive – But, it is common for all of my students. It is actually the brilliance and hardwork of the students, which finally makes them achieve the desired results. I am more than happy to be a facilitator in this process. It gives me immense pleasure and sense of great satisfaction in seeing the growth of students at various stages and becoming a part of their success story.
Hope that, in tune with their objective, this earnest endeavour of SMART Alumni reaches out to the interested students.
