Testimonial A NIVASINI, IX, APT GLOBAL SCHOOL, NTSE SCHOLAR I joined SMART Maths Olympiad class midway of 7th grade. The Maths Olympiad classes triggered my awe towards Mathematics. During the classes, I was exposed to problems like I had never seen before, problems that amazed me. Little did I know back then that what I had gained from the Maths Olympiad classes would help me in the National Talent Search Exam. The Mental Ability section in especially the NTSE Stage Two, requires considerable logical and analytical thinking. The Maths Olympiad classes played a major role in the enhancement of my logical, analytical and most importantly lateral thinking. The NTSE coaching classes commenced on the onset of grade 8. I was fortunate to get an excellent team of encouraging teachers for the course. The teachers did not merely give facts, tips and pointers for the NTSE. Instead they taught us conceptually. They presented the concepts in a lucid way. What I learnt in SMART was well above the standards required for NTSE and hence very much thankful to KK Anand Sir for having developed such a fantastic course. The model tests set by SMART covered almost all kinds of question patterns. By the end of the one-year NTSE course in SMART, I felt completely confident about taking the NTSE. My experience during the one year of NTSE coaching in SMART was truly a class apart. The NTSE scholarship was just one of the many things that I gained from SMART’s NTSE course. The one thing that I gained from SMART that truly makes me glad for joining SMART, is the passion to learn! Maths, Physics and Chemistry have been my favourite subject and attending KK Anand sir’s Classes now in Std. IX, has made it all the more better. During Eighth standard the coaching was wonderful and it covered all the portions needed for both the 1st level and the 2nd level. The coaching material was also excellent. The special classes for NTSE 2nd Level exam were very useful. Many of my friends have joined SMART seeing my enthusiasm and my success in NTSE, which is due to SMART - their excellent faculty, and above all KK Anand Sir, who has designed it so well. Sreenidh.S.P. PSBB KKN, IX, NTSE Scholar I am grateful to KK Sir and SMART for training me to win the prestigious NTSE scholarship. The books and study materials provided were very valuable. The faculty taught excellently which aroused my interests and increased my knowledge. I could also understand things that were considered tough by my school seniors, very easily due to the faculty's wonderful teaching. These classes ignited the fire within me and helped me to achieve the goal. I am also thankful to my parents who have put so much time and efforts into my studies and helped me to win the Scholarship. KK Sir himself has been an inspiration to many of us, as we have heard a lot about him. Now that we are attending his classes in Std IX, one can say that he is more like our friend than our teacher. His classes are extremely enjoyable, which can be summarised as unlimited intellectual entertainment - serious to the core in the conceptual level and its explanations stimulating the intellect, but simultaneously a fun while learning because of his humorous inimitable interactive style in its presentation, providing the entertainment factor. I should also add that I have very good friends in SMART and I enjoy hanging out with them during the break. To conclude, I can say for sure that there needn’t be any second thought in anyone – SMART is the best place to be in for competitive exam preparations both for what is learnt and the way it is learnt – KK Anand Sir makes all the difference. V LAVANYA, IX, DAV, GOPALAPURAM, NTSE SCHOLAR I joined SMART when I was in 7th standard. I cleared the NTSE examination mainly because of the guidance & teaching of the “SMART” teachers. The books & the study material were very useful in preparing for the exam. Many NTSE mock tests were conducted for Stage Two, to increase the speed in answering questions and gain the familiarity with various types of questions. I sincerely thank all the teachers & K K Anand Sir who supported & guided me so well. SREENATH SRIKRISHNAN, IX – PSBB MILLENNIUM, NTSE SCHOLAR I am Sreenath of class IX, currently undergoing the Junior Smart course. I have become an NTSE scholar along with some of my friends from SMART. Firstly, I would like to thank my parents and my brother Sreejith (who is also undergoing training in SMART from Std. IX, now in Std. XI) for their support and motivation. I had undergone training for NTSE in 8th grade. The whole of the NTSE training was very interesting and each topic was taught extensively. The extra class for stage-2 of NTSE was extremely helpful. The faculty’s teaching was excellent and very comprehensive. SMART also provided us with quality study material, covering every topic tested in NTSE and a handful of questions had come straight from the study material. The mock tests were very useful as it helped us become familiar with the type of questions and question paper pattern. A major part of my success is thanks to the training in SMART. The teachers at SMART are very friendly and are ready to clarify our doubts. They teach in a way which is easy to understand and quote examples to make us understand the concepts very well. Tests are held regularly to check our understanding of the subjects. Solutions to the questions that appeared in the tests are discussed once the answer sheets are given back to us and hence are extremely helpful as well. I have no hesitation to say that KK Anand Sir’s SMART is the best and am very happy studying at SMART.
